Creating a fault seal model

With the first step of the Fault Seal Modeling workflow (model > Fault Seal > Fault Seal Modeling> Create Model) you create a new fault seal model, or select an existing model to make it the active model for the next steps of the workflow.

Important   Before you start with the Fault Seal Modeling workflow make sure you meet the requirements, see Requirements and input.

You can duplicate, rename, or delete your existing fault seal models via the toolbar on this form.

Duplicates the currently selected model in the drop-down list (i.e., the active model).
Opens the Rename dialog, where a new name can be given to the active model.
Deletes the active model.

To create a new fault seal model

  1. Open the Create Model form by clicking on Create Model in the Fault Seal Modeling workflow of the model > Fault Seal strip.
  2. Select Create new in the drop-down list and type a name for the fault seal model in the text field below.
  3. Click Apply to create the fault seal model and keep the Create Model form open or click OK to create the model and proceed to the Assign Data step.

To change the active fault seal model

  1. On the Create Model form, select the fault seal model that you want to make the default (auto-selected) model at the top of each of the other forms of the Fault Seal Modeling workflow.
  2. Click Apply or OK to confirm the new active fault seal model.
